September's full moon will put on quite the show on the evening of Sept. 17. Not only are we treated to a slightly larger-than-average "supermoon" but also a partial lunar eclipse.
The annual 'Harvest Moon' will appear in the sky this week - with a special twist. The first full moon of September will peak on Tuesday and last three days. This year's harvest moon will also include a partial lunar eclipse on Tuesday night, beginning at 8:41pm ET through 12:47am Wednesday morning.
